Clear Lake California is a prime location for catching crappie, and it’s no surprise that many guide services are available in the area. Recently, Ed had the pleasure of joining forces with Fishing Addict for a day of crappie fishing on Clear Lake. It was an exciting opportunity to share stories, strategies, and techniques with each other.

They started the day by setting out to some of our favorite spots on the lake. Both guide services had years of experience fishing on Clear Lake, so they were confident in their abilities to find the crappie. Using Livescope and jigs it didn’t take long for the first bites to come in.

Throughout the day, they shared tips and stories with each other. It was fascinating to hear about the different approaches they had to catching crappie while also discussing the best times of day to catch crappie, and the different behaviors of the fish during different seasons.

As the day progressed, all three caught plenty of crappie. It was exciting to see the different sizes and colors of the fish they caught. Ed and Fishing Addict moved around the lake, trying out different spots and techniques. It was interesting to see how the approaches differed, and how they could learn from each other.
